It has been awhile since I have had to do this but, ummm I don't want destroy a car if I don't have to/ what do you use to loosen tungsten so you can re-use it
I have acetone and denatured alcohol

If the tungsten was glued in with epoxy, use a heat gun, carefully, and cubes can be remover rather easily. A utility knife will cut/scrape the epoxy off the cubes pretty easily once it was heated during removal. Takes a little time but worth it. /images/boards/smilies/wave.gif

If the tungsten is glued in with CA, I've used CA "uncure" that has worked for me. I think acetone would work too.

If its glued in with epoxy ... good luck. I've heard heat is a good way to loosen up epoxy.

I have a flexible charcoal butane lighter that has a fine point flame on it. It heats up the glue and the tungsten but does not seem to hurt the cars.

Sorry, a little off topic here, but B-4 I just noticed your SS AM Winner badge! Well done! When are you going Pro? See you on the track soon.

A budy of mine told me he just bought a Heavy duty soldering Iron. (acutally I have a good size one myself I'll try!) I've been using a heet gun!

well the good news is I don't have to find more 1/4 cubes
now since last year the car we made last year still have the wheels on it should I just reburninsh the wheels and clean the axles or just worry about the wheel bores
thd only thing I need to do is bend the dfw axle to make it a rail runner
