Tuning first rail runner. Am set at 4" steer in 4 feet on a bsa wheel base. When I run it on a rail, the rears are not centered over the rail but stay off. ( in three feet any way). Should they be centered? I do not have the dfw set in. Do I need more bend in axle. Help please.

Thanks.

That is the difference with making a cut back for your DFW or not making a cut back. With the way we set up cars here at the NPWDRL you don't need a DFW cutback to keep the rears off the rail, but if you don't cut it back the rears probably will not be centered.

So to answer your question, no they don't need to be centered and no you don't need more axle bend. You will want to mark the rear for staging since it is not going to be centered.

So what you're suggesting is a "d" on the front and a sharpie mark for rail where it want to run as a place to start?
