Long time lurker... I am working on updating my tuning table from just a large folding table with the 5kids graphic placed on top to a more permanent/portable one. So I've read I think most tuning table related posts here.. I'm adding adjustable feet ($3), and a cross check level ($4) at the start/finish. In browsing tuning table topics on this forum I saw Bracketracers aluminum starting block which he milled which allows the wheels to set against the rail for a more consistent read on drift. (Here: http://www.pinewoodderbyonline.com/post/show_single_post?pid=1287174771&postcount=29)

Not having access to a mill and unable to find a raw bar with the dimensions of the best track rail that I could cut down I stumbled across this.. http://www.garagedoorstuff.com/product/garage-door-seal-retainer-flat-1-58/ for under $20 shipped to your door (probably can find it cheaper locally) The ones I saw at Home Depot/Lowes had a lip on one side which wouldn't mimic the rail.

Just received it today and it looks perfect for the job with even enough left over to check a longer roll.

Hope this helps someone a little bit as I've received tons of great tips from reading this group.
