So I took to looking at last years cars, I had things elevated just enouhg to get the cars to roll. The car can roll about 48 inches, on car one it moved about 2 inches over in 48 inches, then car number two moved about 2 over in 14 inches, a very agressive steer, Both cars ran about the same time wise last year , with car number two being more aero, better weight placement and COM I think compared to car number one. So with that being said I am trying to understand thigns enought to know if I need to make adjsutments to how much steer for this year. And when bending the axle am I wanting to add lots of bend so that I have less "wheel" touching and just adding steer to get the right amount of drift? For now this is my area of learnign as I need to figure out this before i move on to other things.

Hey R,

If a grand master like Kinser were here I bet he would talk about each car wanting what it wants in terms of steer and COM, and some Zen stuff like that. I am guessing he would then tell you to move on to other things because by the time you figure out the answer to your question you will realize the futility in asking it.

I suppose we will find out very soon from the man himself.

Please pardon my speaking in your place Kinser.

Good luck with the build R.

I think I read somewhere that 4" steer over 48" was a good place to start.

hmmm

The only way you actually know is if you are testing on the track you are racing on. If you drill it right then 3" over 4' is safe.
