Using pipe cleaners safely

Thanks Kinser....I got the whole waxing and polishing kit from John, but I think I have a ways to go with wheel prep. I've quickly learned that Ok, decent, good, and very good, doesn't cut it when it comes to wheel and axle prep. Anything less than excellent is literally a waste of time .

Just food for thought to remember that what you may think is excellent wheel bore and axle prep may not be excellent. I keep a set of wheels that were prepped by a top racer just so I can see what excellent wheel prep actually is. It takes time and attention to detail to get excellent preps on your wheel bores and even after 2-1/2 years of doing this I still struggle.

Good thought..any particular tips you might have in this area ?

I would like to avoid as many beginner mistakes as possible.

I planned to give some of these away at Mid America but I forgot them at home. I will try to remember to send some with my cars to the June race to give away to the other racers.

I missed you at ma. I was hoping to score the solutions you had for the pipe cleaners. I have gone to all the stores and to get the 1/32 shrink tube I have to buy an assortment. Yes I could go online but then the wife knows. Although, this would probably be the cheapest thing I bought lately thanks to lightning boy and bulldog ; )

Eric, the Home Depot in Omaha shows to have it in stock when I search 68137 as the zip code? I was thinking you were local when we met at the race?-

Yes, you are right Bracketracer, I do live in Omaha area. I also saw on the hardware stores and home-improvement sites websites that they have it but when I went to the actual stores including Home Depot they only one they don't have it happens to be that one over 32. Thank you for looking out though. I think I will simply put that on my next Amazon order list.
