Thanks for making the video cramjet. I always appreciate when you guys that have a lot of experience make these videos to help us rookies out.
Brilliant idea Cramjet. I had given up on pipe cleaners a couple of years ago but can confidently use them now. Looking forward to meeting you and all the other Pros live at the Nationals!

Oh I don't know Ballistic, you are one tough fellow rookie! Enough so that I always have one eye on how you are doing /images/boards/smilies/cool.gif So far we are just finding our groove and relying on quite a bit of luck for our tuning since we don't have tracks. I MIGHT have my Street Stock dialed in now though. My BASX cars are still a total crap shoot until I run them on a track.

I have stopped using pipe cleaners because they shed and leave too much fluff, dust and strands behind even though I used my air compressor to blow the wheels clean. I found that if I don't use anything that leaves dust and strands behind in the beginning my wheel prep is better, wheels are cleaner and my times improved on the track.

Thanks Kinser....I got the whole waxing and polishing kit from John, but I think I have a ways to go with wheel prep. I've quickly learned that Ok, decent, good, and very good, doesn't cut it when it comes to wheel and axle prep. Anything less than excellent is literally a waste of time .
