speaking of U.V light, I'm using one right now to speed up the cure on my RR. Is this what ya all think this thing is used for in our world of PWD? I was thinking about all the u.v cured coatings there are out there, and I really don't want to go there, but as I'm thinking those coatings dry very hard. Crap, now I gotta go look. But maybe some of you who know about why guys use the u.v dryer that would be cool to let me know. I'll report on my cure time but it seems like it only cures the outside bores and the inside is business as usual.

Hey pud dog this info is top secret

O.K well it looks like it did cure the RR very fast, I left it in for about 20 min and just buffed it. WOW, it is slick. I'll see it I get the same speed and let you guys know. About to run it.

ummmmm... I hope I am not the only one in here with a Star Wars onesie.

lol

I think it has to do with how you prep and what you are using. Some sealant require UV light to fully cure. If you are in to speed prepping I do believe it is worth having and using. I use mine on every wheel I prep.

I use a food dehydrator if I'm running out of time.

I use a dehydrator all the time...

Even if I have plenty of time. I like how it makes sure my wheel wax is cured before I polish.

and I can stick a bunch of sets on there.... I just make sure the jerky is on the bottom so I don't get no drippins !

What?

I don't want my jerky drippin's getting into the wheel bores, so I place the jerky on the bottom tray and the wheels on the top tray.

lol

just kidding.

I put my wax on, wait a bit, blow out the excess, then place the wheels on the dehydrator and let them set for a while before buffing out the bores..

Even forgot about them one night and polished them out the next day. some good looking bores on those wheels when I polished them.
