Is there a recommended minimum weight pocket size for the one in front of the rear axle? Is pocket that fits 3 rows of 6 tungsten cubes enough space to make the needed COG adjustments for tuning?

Car detail: ladder, rear axle 5/8” from rear, 1/4” tungsten cubes, 2 rows of 6 cubes behind axle.

Everyone's weighting will be slightly different, so the weight pocket in front of the rear axle will usually be sized to accommodate a racer's weighting tendencies. For me, I like equal weighting on the rears (more or less). To do this, my weight pocket on the side with the lifted wheel will allow two cubes, but on the the steer side, it will allow 4 cubes. So the weight pocket in front of the rear axle for my cars are not square, but more triangular. Some racers just stuff as much weight as far back as they can and call i t a day.

As a side note, most racers do not care much about COG, but instead, concentrate on the weight on each wheel. Of course, if you know that and where the axles are, you can figure out the COG, but we do not typically go that far. Here is a COG calculator that Minions made quite a number of years ago: http://jsfiddle.net/minionsracing/UUnT5/embedded/result/
