Yes, the scale is measured to the 10th's so 5.04 would show 5.0 on a 10th's scale. A little risky if you ask me seeing as not all scales measure the same. Unless you're attending and can adjust.
I always measure in grams it's more precise. I also don't like to push the limit to much because I don't have a 5 ounce standard and I don't want to be over the limit.
I've seen some of my cars roll down the track at 140 grams, but hardly ever at the max. I'm with Kinser and JBD on this one, err on the side of caution.
IDK at what weight the scale changes to the next highest digit. I like to go no higher than 142.5 grams like JBD said. 143 grams is the allowable weight. I hope that more fully answers your question. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif
1 of my fastest cars I run is at 141. 8. I think it has to do with balance and setup. Your car will tell you what it likes if you know how to determine that....
