Here's what I have been working on,

Man do my fingers hurt! Huge thanks to 5kids for the many discussions and info. These are my first attempt at my own wheels, they are Eliminators and from some early testing showing some real promise.
So what you guys working on?

Lookin good QT!

Tonight I finished drilling the rear axle holes on seven of the nineteen SS test car bodies I have cut. After reading GX's post on drilling the DFW I decided I should study rear axle cant and toe. The green car I sent to the Nationals was damaged in an unfortunate testing accident, so I'm going to test as much as possible before I build a new car for the August race.

Testing axle and wheel prep, then retesting, and retesting, and retesting, I ate something then retested, and retested, then my girlfriend got pissed so I went home. Now I'm online typing about testing, and retesting.

One cool project I forgot to write about is a car for my dad. He has a race coming up at church for the adults with two rules. No open flames, and no damaging the track. I was going to set him up with a CO2 car, but he said he wanted it gravity powered. I'm making him an 8 inch bearing car. We will see how heavy it ends up. Thanks to all who have posted on this in the past. I'll be sure to post some pictures and video in the near future.
He still might get a CO2 bearing car...

Cars looks great as do the wheels. Absolutely nothing going on in my shop right now, too hot in the garage. This weekend is suppose to be a lot cooler so I'll likely be doing some re-prep and modifying my current cars.

I've been working on a modification to my lube process. I've only tried it on one SS so far but it set a track record on my track. More testing on different cars needed, but I have high hopes.

I've looked at my bench but it told me it wasn't ready...LOL!

Everyone is in research mode and I can't seem to get it in gear!

I have my car cut out and fenders on. Hoping to have it in paint tomorrow and while the car dries I will be building my tuning board minus the glass. I was told it would be a one to two weeks for the glass and the price is a killer too. Hoping all goes well so I can get my first car sent in and see how it does.

Ok you guys have motivated me!

I have some cheetah v.3's on order and few other supplies. Time to get ready for the MOTM Tournament!

Sounds like I'm not the only one hard at it. Glad to hear of the new projects and processes. Keep up the hard work the aug race will be here before we know it!

First round of testing looking good, real good! I think I'm finally got some eliminators to possibly run at the top. Just hope you guys don't find to much more speed.

No danger of that here!

I drilled seven of the test car bodies so far, made more than 200 passes down the track this past weekend with them trying different things. Didn't come within .005 of the car I already had! I'm trying to keep a positive outlook, though. Now I know quite a few things I don't need to try again!

On the plus side, I may have identified a rear axle cant/axle drill height combo that seems to like me. I'm going to drill another one the same and see if it repeats.

Glad you had a better session!

During testing make sure to clean your wheels often. Dirty wheels are a speed killer!
