good morning all-
working on my new car and have the weight pockets routed out for cubes.

Body seems pretty light. With the axles, 3 wheels (2.8 gr) and the body it weighs 1.1 oz.

got room for 23 cubes and a little more.

I'm pretty excited to test

So my question is; what is the silver "tape" that I have seen guys using to cover the bottom of the car over the weight pockets? Furnace tape of some kind?

I would imagine it to help the air flow under the car to some degree not to mention contain any cubes that may come loose.

thanks guys.

I use aluminum foil tape. You can buy it a local home store like Lowes.

It is probably just foil tape. For our police car, we had working lights and we had to dremel out an area on the bottom for the battery and circuitry. I covered with foil tape. I work in a laboratory and we have that stuff handy. Not sure if you can get that stuff at Lowe's or Home Depot.

awesome! thank you
that is what I was looking for

I'll check my friendly neighborhood big box store

Go to a hobby shop that deals in model air planes and get the Monocote. It works just as well as the tape, is in every color, but costs more. There are two types, one requiring heat to make stick, the other is self stick, used to patch holes in existing wings.
