The boxes that I use and I assume all of us use are the 8 3/4 X 4 1/2 X 2 which isn't listed on the USPS Flat Rate list. The closest is a 5 3/8 X 8 5/8 X 1 5/8. These are pretty close but I just wanted to hear from someone that has used this before and can verify this will work.
Thanks,
Mark

I use my own box and just enter the dimensions. I use DD4H boxes and then put them in another box with about two inches of soft faom around each individual box that way my cars are double padded. I fit it all nice and tight too. I don't want anything inside moving around.

Thanks Kinser.. I already printed a couple labels using the small flat rate box listed. How long does one have to get a refund?

Ok applied for refund and will redo under use my own box.

Depending on how many cars you are sending. I am sending 5 cars so I used a large flate rate box. Don't know if this helps.

That's a good idea AC. Do you use the DD4H boxes inside the big box or just use foam with cut outs for each car?

i wouldnt do 1 5/8 you need at least 5 inch thick box or better

No I'm using the 4" wide box from John with the closed cell foam inside. It's about 2" thick I think . The 1 5/8" was the smallest choice the flat rate drop down window was giving on the USPS website.

I have all 5 cars in the legend boxes fom John inside the large flat rate plus top and bottom and all 4 sides are lined with pillow foam. It all fit the Large flat rate box
