What to get?

Here you go if you can toss in another buck or three. I like the dial caliper, digital readout is nice though. It's just a preference for me.

GX, I have a Mitutoyo 6" dial caliper. I'm just looking for something a little different that I can use and I can't think of anything.

Edit: I think I'm going to the speed shop. I'd still like all of your ideas! Thanks!!!

Hi Chris,
I like the 8" dial caliper but some
Folks prefer the digital.

"For that wad of cash..." You guys are funny. It was meant to be something to joke about. I would like to get the 8" digital calipers though. The Starett's are out of range. The Mitutoyo's can be had somewhat affordably. For what I'm going to use them for $23 is about right for some of the one's on ebay. Does anyone know of a particularly cheap brand that's relatively reliable.

Check out VXB it's a bearing outfit. They have a nice digital caliper for under $20. I think Quadad has one from there. If you order enough bearings sometimes they send you one for free........you have to order a ton of bearings, but where I work that is not a problem. Sorry, I see they raised the price.

I have had the VXB digital caliper that BSB is talking about for a couple of years now and really like it, you wouldn't go wrong /images/boards/smilies/wave.gif

Hey Bill
Just a wild guess.
Do you have beers with the fella that works in the friction chamber at the ball bearing outfit?

Is there a hidden meaning here?
$23 dollars seems rather specific
