What tool or tools should I ask for?

Each year for Christmas my inlaws like to get me one big gift, last year it was a nice ryobi drill press, about 120 dollars. I already have a small band saw that does the job but could use something new and better, I could also use a table top sander, both of these items fit into this catagory for me. But here is my question, what other tool or tools would fit in the same catagory. I have a dremel and some good attatchments. I need some ideas incase there is something else that would be good to have since I am doing well with most of the stuff I have at this time.

I know if I had to make a list....id me in order

1. Track
2. Drill Press
3. Lathe
4. Router
5. Tablesaw
6. Belt sander

Dont ask me why or what the reasons are....and I may not be the best person to give advice as im not a machinist or woodworker etc, jsut a hobbyist...but this is based on what I can get from John, and those things I wouldnt mind beginning to learn to do myself as part of expanding on this hobby....

That and what other utilities I can get out of it around the house LOL....

If you have the room, even a benchtop tablesaw comes in handy for more than just PWD stuff.
Just keep ALL your fingers out of the blade!

Or something like this:

Or if you have aspirations of making your own wheels then a lathe would be perfect.
The tooling would set you back more than what that drill press cost though.

But if you get the lathe buy a GOOD scale, no cheapo scales to weigh the wheels. I had to buy a second scale after the first one proved to be not very accurate and got me a DQ!

My vote is for a table saw. It is the useful/ versatile. Get one that takes a 10" blade.
I got my delta contractor saw for a gift about 15 years ago. Tossed out the fence that came with it
and got a unisaw fence that extends it out to rip material at 48"
Best gift ever!
