Wheel bore prep help.

They call Mid-America the Nationals for cub scouts. I believe this is due to the fact that it is open to any registered scout and they can send cars in and race proxy. They put on a really good derby and handle things great. This was out first year and my son enjoyed watghing his car race on our TV.

Thanks Scout Racer. So I was wondering what this is in comparison to the Middle America which happened a few weeks back. Was MA just for that council regarding stats and qualifications tho I know they run open and pro too. I have a Scout from our Pack who has won pack, districts and council. And was wondering where he is to go next should he look to keep going.

The only two upcoming Scout Races are Northern Star Council and /or NYC that I am aware of .

Congratulations on taking first for the Wolves the average of the best three laps for your sons car was 3.5661. Yes it was 49' I set it up. The kid that won it all was very fast averaged 3.5228 my son was second overall with an average of 3.5539. We are also planning to go to the NYC race.

Congratulations to you and your son derby dad. You guys put on a nice event. We all had a great time. Their were alot of really nice cars and fast cars. It was crazy how close some of those races and standings were.

By any chance, would you happen to know what place my son came in on the king of the council finals? I meant to ask yesterday.

Thank you glad you had a great time. We were asked to run the track about a month ago and were a bit apprehensive about doing it but I think it went well. I have a few things I would like to see changed for next year to make it better. Deffinetly need a better projector screen set up and I think there should have been more time between the first and second race groups.

That was the other thing that I would recommend to stick with what is published not make changes on the day of the event. It was not my idea but I understand why they changed it to save time. He was 5th overall.

I didn't know they changed things. I thought the way every thing that was going on was the same as last year. The only thing is I kinda think their was a lube station for before inspection. Good luck in NYC.

Sounds like that Race still has the same issues from last year when I was involved. We did have a Lube/Rework area the last two years. It was definitely better than the first race in the back of Collision Shop.
