Are the Cheetah Wheels allowed to be used for the Street Stock Class?

I'm finalizing my build for the team event and I do not want to be at a dis-advantage if other teams or racers have been using them.

My understanding is that they would be ONLY for SP class, and not a good choice even there. Am I wrong to assume that they were made for BSA dads/boys, and to compete with similar wheels provided by MaxVel or DerbyWorx, and that technically, they would be illegal for most BSA races?

OR

Is they a good place for them in league racing?

As far as I know they are allowed in the SS class. You will not be at a disadvantage running the rage extremes. Paulie was faster the the extremes than the cheetahs. But we will see for this month I repreped them and they look to be catching up.

having seen them I would have to say no to the ss class due to the material removal on the inside of the wheel. They were made for scout races in my humble opinion. John would have to give the final say though.

I think that question is still up in the air...I bought some but I will not be using them for my team car. Me and my BIG mouth built my first team car to try and look better than Old Geezers and I think I may have focused more on the look of my car than the speed of my car...NOT that I ever had any speed anyway...haha

OH well the jury is out on both at this point!!!

Just got back on the grid. I chatted with John today about the Cheetahs, as the rules are currently written they are not legal for the Street Stock class. The problem John and other NPWDRL host are faced with, is the policing of wheels that are trued on the inside. John is almost finished with some rule and race format improvements. Part of the format change will address the "Cheetah Style Wheels". I know the changes will make the Street Stock class even better for everyone. I will let John chime in when he is ready. Man can you guys believe we are almost to the mid point of our inaugural season. The second half is going to be great!
