Wheel spacer question

Is it typical to double the spacers to get the clearance for a reversed MA wheel? I tried just one and the one plus a washer and that was still just a hair short. So I used 2 spacers for each rear wheel and 1 for the front.

I had to use a spacer and two washers to get the MA wheels to work. the hub is cut very deep on the front.

We had to use a spacer and two washers on the rears last year so the lettering wouldn't rub the body.

Thanks for the replies. I was going to double up the washers but it looked like that would end up just as wide as using another spacer. Actually measuring I am sure the 2 stacked washers are slightly thinner but at this point I'm going to let it ride. Glad to hear I wasn't missing something obvious. At first I was thinking since the spacers fit on the axle snug that I could just set a gap in the spacer to the body to keep the wheel off but then decided that will be a risk having the spacer move in and then the wheel starts hitting the body.

Same for us. I didn't notice it was rubbing a little. Put the car on the track and it was slow and made an unfamiliar sound. Sure enough the lettering was rubbing, had to add another washer. Now I am wondering if it could have been rubbing a little last year. I didn't have track to test on last year. We just built them tuned them on a shelving board and sent them in. Man, what a difference a year makes /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif
