Wheelbase question

I'm looking at adding fenders for my next car. I have been using the max wheelbase. Does moving the DFW back to accommodate the fender make tuning more difficult?

The shorter the wheelbase the more tuning might be needed as it's not as stable as the long wheelbase. For gee fenders I like the 5 inch wheelbase myself but that's just my personal liking.

I make my own balsa fenders and 5" seems to work good with them as well.

Less stable but faster, just add a little more steer and you're good to go.

Sorry! The first answer wasn't very understandable. I would put fenders on over having a max wheelbase any time. There's not much difference in tuning.
