A few months ago my cousin had a fundraiser pinewood derby race. The reigning champion has won for years with his boys and by huge margins. I watched one race and knew I could build a car that would blow his away. While building my car I was asked for help in building my cousins car. The nice guy that I am I helped, gave him good secrets helped with building and tuning when we finished the build he started to get all secretive about something. So naturally I am feeling upset that I share secrets and then he won't. The day before the race he put fenders on his car. He watched johns video on the internet. Well the night before the race we race head to head. With out prepping my wheels or axels our cars are close to the same speed so I am sure I will win the next day after I prep everything for racing. The next day before the race we weigh in and set all the cars up in a line for pictures my cousin luckily grabs his car but I wasn't paying attention and one of the helpers grabs all the cars to move them in doing so she just scooped them into a pile of cars and mine being very light and fragile compared to the others gets broke where the back axel sits. So my car is done. Sad day to see all the work gone. So my cousing wins the race and in his classic trash talking fashion gloats. So to this day every time pinewood derby gets brought up he says I have never been beat. And he know darn well that I pretty much built that car. And what he contributes the win to was the fender and his secret lube which I have since found out it is some oil from derby coach . Com. I am sorry but I believe that without a well built car fender and oil are not going to make it fast. So there you have it. There is another race coming up in a month or so and I have already started my new build. I have been trying to get him to build another car or at least pull his wheels and axels to reprep because his axels are bent and I took a lot of care in tuning his car. there is know way he will be able to get it back. I have since bought the block and I didn't show him how I prep my wheels and axels either. it is time to shut him up. Hahahahahaha
