If you had the money for either a taig lathe or a single lane test track?

The lathe would be readily available to use on a work bench, the track i do not have the room to leave out. No basements where i live and the attic has a duct running down the middle....

but if you get a track it is only good to you if you take it out of the box...Right Quadad????hahahaha

Once you've done it for a while, how long does it take to set up the track properly?

Should i look into a do it yourself timer or something inexpensive like newbold derbystick.

And i would also like to say thank you to all the veteran racers for all the good information that i have found here.

How much room does the attic have?? Can you raise the test track up on legs high enough to go over the air duct??

You can always lift the air duct up and suspend it from the ceiling of the attack .... PWD guys are engineering geniuses...

Sometimes we got to think outside the box and the normal thoughts do not apply....

I'd take the track. I'd have to make the kids sleep in the barn to make room. JK But the barn isn't clean enough for a track and the kids can always be hosed off.
