Kinser, I've been meaning to say congrats on the breakthrough!! Looking forward to seeing you, WK, QT, JBD, Minions, Pony and a few others vie for that elusive #1 spot, gonna be a tight, competitive season.
As far as the track being a curse, I think I can attest to that just as much as anyone. My dusty garage and having to extend the last section outdoors make for a nightmare tuning session. So far, I have had the best luck by just adjusting the steer on a clean tuning board and shipping them off.
I have a hard time stopping once I get started trying to tune them to peak performance. 80% of the time I end up chasing that first run to rarely reattain the initial speed. Occasionally I pick up a hundredth but am left cleaning wheels and re-applying lube to the inner rim which scares the heck out me, don't want any F.O.D. getting in the wheel bore area.
On the other hand, the track is great for R&D and tinkering around so it justifies having it and hopefully someday I'll find that permanent, controlled environment spot to set the track up and leave it.
