I tell the cub pack that I work with. if you are gonna try the treadmill trick, just tie your PWD car to the back of your real car and take it down the road... It will do the same thing to your PWD car.
Treadmills have anti-slip belts. The roughness will eat your wheels up.
It will get very wobbly going down the track. That is a lot of weight behind the axle, and it will make your dominant front wheel very light (your COG will be way back).

yes... get the 25 or 27 gauge plasticators, from Amazon, or something similar to that.... the 18 gauge dumps a lot of oil onto the axles, where the smaller gauges let you apply the oil in the amounts that you can control better.
been there... done that... 4 times!!!!
Now I transfer all my oil into plastic applicator bottles with metal tips. It lets me apply my oil precisely where I want to. And when I knock it over, time and time again, I don't lose any
toward the front axle... about 1/4" from the back side of it... you don't want to mess with the integrity of the axles... But then make a spot for you to add the putty toward the weights at the back of the car.
what I like to do is bring the car down to 5.01ish ounces and bring it back up to 5.044 oz with tungsten putty. Then, if there is a scale difference, you can just take out a little bit of putty to make the car legal.
one of the things I do with the cubs that I coach... I cut Cricut vinyl in 7" x 1-3/4" pieces and let them color the piece. That is the graphic for their cars... They have gotten pretty clever with their designs... then they color the sides of the car (not much left there) to match... They...
