Jimmy I’ve read these posts back years.... If Mojo is willing to let you borrow his, DRIVE to see him! The speed you could glean from him alone is worth the trip.
Hahahah... if only I could afford to take a few hours away from household to-dos and dad chores believe you me I would!

I too have read almost everything here back to 2012. If I could, I would WALK there! I have to believe you would learn a TON!

Man that’s a nice looking ride Chalk! Love the fenders. I ended up making mine X3 style. Posting pics of mine in minute. Yours weighs maybe 1/3 of mine lol. I ended up keeping body solid to save on having to add too much tungsten as I tapped out. But it’ll be good.
Really looking forward to your race results man.
Great job!
Jimmy

Dang that looks slick, i always wanted to try a set of them. Think they are gonna make it onto my next order. Hope its as fast as it looksn

Good Luck!

Cars are done with 2 days to spare.... But, not without a big scare... My sons car went off the tuning board and hit the ground. Breaking the wood at both rear nail holes. Sorry, no photos of the carnage he was to freaked out to give me time to take pictures. A little super glue and it’s whole again. The sides where the hole enter was intact so gluing it together was a matter of just putting the pieces back together. I’m not to concerned as we’ve beaten everyone by 1/2 a car length for 3 years now. But, can’t say for sure how good the rear alignment is now. We run a wooden track so.... Should be fine. I hope...

Nice cars Chalk! Can’t wait to see how they do. Real curious to see how the fenders fare. Did you already mention the length of the track?

Chalk,

Nice looking cars. One thing I noticed was that the DFW gap looks large. You might want to confirm it is where you want. While you are at it, you might as well check them all. Good luck!

Also, on the car that was dropped/broken, you could possibly check the alignment using the speed square method. While it is not a perfect check, it can get you really close. Look up Lighting Boys video on the slow roll speed square method.

My son was upset with third place and, I didn’t contest it. I tried to use it as a learning experience. We have dominated for the previous 2 years, with 2 more to go its healthy for the competition to think we are beatable.

Holy geez, I'd be steamed. How'd the race runners miss that one?
Not sure when it pushed through. I wiped the whole track down prerace and, it wasn’t there then. They already were only running 3 out of 4 lanes because another lane had issues. The old wooden track is really starting to show its age. Been trying to talk them into buying a new one. No one wants to come off the money.

Great job chalk, congratulations on the win. It is unfortunate an overlooked defect caused undesirable results but you are right. It’s healthy for competition to not always run away with the big win!

I ran my 2 cars with the fastest one starting in that lane. I know the pick is hard to see.(forgot to use slow motion) My car for this race beat my other car by half a car length. No obvious effect from the screw tip.
