Ok after searching YouTube for an hour and a half I found the car and the race. The racer is Cash racing and he called the car trouble. After looking at it again the wheels are AT LEAST 3/8" forward of normal. Can ANYONE explain this?edit: skip to 19:57 to see the top view of the winning cars including first place. The wheels are EASILY 3/8" forward of the back of the car.
Guys thanks for the accolades....
That car was built with Cub Scout rules, with intentions of running it at PDDR in the pure stock class.....But dang it was fast, so I made it Basx car!!
4 3/8" WB (1/4" thick) [Glenn Jewkes told me long ago that it done right a short WB car will out run long WB cars, maybe he was right]
7/8" from the rear
16 grams weigh on fdw
.20 oz split in the rears (12 cubes behind rear axle)
93 velocity pro axles (all the way around)
old style wheels 2.4 grams (#5 up front #15 rears Ca$h's cut)
That's all I can remember!
Oh: one other thing, I drilled 3 bodies like that, 2 of those are stilling at APR in the Pure Stock class.
FYI: If I still had that car (I sold It) and with my current prep process, no doubt in my mind, it would run sub 2.945's!!
