93g axles

I got some 93g axles from dd4hire and I'm new at this. I noticed that they have some burrs on them. What do I need to do to get them race ready? And what's the best way to graphite the car for maximum speed?

where are the burs, those axles are usually absolutely flawless.
if they are just around the edge of the head just spin them in a drill and hit the edge LIGHTLY. that part of the axle does not touch any part of the wheel.
if you could, a pic would be very helpful

Yes they are right between the head and the groove. Should I use a dremel and sand them off. I'm not sure what you mean by using a drill

put the pointy end into a drill or drillpress, just about a 1/4". spin it and use a small folded piece of 600 or 1000 grit sandpaper and lightly touch the edge of the sandpaper to the spot in question. helps to get it wet too. just a few seconds should do it.

Polishing axles is pretty much an art form. Did you get the zero friction polishing kit? Axles and the kit go hand in hand. /images/boards/smilies/wave.gif
