Question

I got the cars back, you can see marks on the edges (not the inside edge but bottom edge) of the wheels that are on the track. Do you want to polish the marks out or just leave them alone. It appears to me that this is going to happen every time you race the car.

What to do?

Thanks for any help.

Slightly off topic but I'll ride this thread as it concerns reprepping wheels. After a race, I notice the inside edge of dfw gets chewed up with nicks and sometimes gouges from what I'm guessing are bad/misaligned track joints. For subsequent race I've either switched it with ndfw and/or sanded raised nicks down with 2000 grit, hoping the "innie" nicks won't impact speed/wheel spin. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

This isn't from the league track, right? I've never seen the league track do that, it's very smooth at the joints. When you taking out the nicks make sure you roll the wheel and takes the edge down uniformly otherwise you'll have low spot's and the wheel won't be concentric. This will slow you down.

Our pack track nicked up the inside edge of the dfw too from running against bad joints. I swapped it with the ndfw for districts. I made sure to treat all 4 wheels just to make sure I could use the ndfw as a spare if necessary.
