On the axle head, how do these compare the the MV 4094 axles? For scout races they have been my go to axle, but a larger diameter would be great.

How much prep work is needed for running graphite? I usually go to 12K and leather and then pledge and wipe clean with a cloth. Also would it be better to start at 5 or even 7K to keep the diameter advantage?

You can go to 12k. They polish up very easy and it is hard to remove material.
