All I can say is WOW! Wait until you see these in person! The testing shows these fenders to make a car 23% more air efficient than a pinewood derby car with no fenders! 15% better than the original GEE fenders!

Nice!!!!

So just to clarify, a set of GEE fenders for the front of all wheels and a set of trailing fenders for behind the front wheels. Has anybody been testing these?

so as i understand these front fenders are a different shape than the old style fenders thus giving more areo advantage of old gee fenders then that advantage is even increased by adding the trailing fenders?

Are the speed claims based on just the standard position fender or while paired with the trailing fenders?

From the description and picture it looks like there isn't a left and right version. I would like to see a front view with a wheel just to see how that works with the back cut to clear the rail being mirrored on the top

15% greater aerodynamic benefit over original GEE fenders when combined with the trailing fenders!!!

Hats off to LightninBoy for showing us the way with trailing fenders with his prototype X3 car and then Hurricrane racing reproducing the benefits of trailing fenders blending into the side of the body and rear fenders.

The GEE Diamond fenders have MANY MANY hours of wind tunnel testing to obtain the shape they have.

Slight variations alter the results of the drag considerably and are meant to be installed in a specific way. (There is a right side up).

These have been in the works for a while now and like John says are Patent Pending.

OK so their are still symmetrical left and right pairs. From the description it made me think all 4 were exactly the same. Do you mind sharing some more about your wind tunnel testing? How as drag measured? Can you give some broad strokes description of your track testing experiment to get the numbers that you did for speed increase while reducing variables from other factors?

Good luck with the patent lawyers and the patent office. I've been through that a few times with my job. I have 3 issued and it took over a year once submitted for 1 of them. The other 2 were fast tracked because they were related to the first. Just waiting for the patent lawyer to start and finish the patent write up took about 6 months. Are you going for a utility patent or a design patent?

I've also been meaning to ask what GEE stands for? Is it a name you made or is it named after the material that they are made out of?

I believe that would be the last name of the guy that is producing the fender, if I recollect correctly, I could be mistaken.

Don't try to over analyze it Nick, it's a set of fenders for a pinewood derby car not a $80,000 sports car. /images/boards/smilies/wave.gif

Without seeing it on a car it is hard to tell how close the two middle fenders are going to be together.

It would seem easier if this was one solid peace to keep the two middle fenders aligned. But that might be me having a hard time getting fenders perfect. Just a thought.

+1
These are designed with a ton of R&D, to get the best possible flow. They are not knock offs just drawn out with no R&D.

A solid fender means you only have one option for the wheelbase.
