Thank you to so many people on this forum. Today was my sons PWD. As expected he won his Den and won his Pack. We ran a very old bumpy wood track but still the nearest car was at least 3 car lengths behind.

My son was over joyed and I wish I could say the same for the other parents...... They tried three different times to disqualify his car but it was 100% with-in their rules without any gray area stuff so they finally had to give up.... That part was really disappointing but being that his daddy (me) races toy cars for a living I am all to familiar with how wining can "feel" when others are not as good of a looser as they maybe should be.

**I also won the parents division (a slaughter...) which didn't help at all. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

Anyways outside of that nonsense I really want to thank Kinser, Ian (GoatBoy) DNA, John (DD4H) and several more I am not thinking of now. You may not have helped directly but your posts or answers to other peoples questions were so helpful to me being able to help my son build a race winning PWD car. I will get a picture of his winning smile up asap.

heheee yeah well I got news for you winners are accused of cheating in all hobbies....

I use it as a gauge to see how well I did, no accusations means back to the drawing board.... called a cheater and talked about behind your back = WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER~!

The good part is my son doesn't know about all the cheating issues and only knows he won and the other scout boys unlike their parents thought he was awesome for having such a fast car. Silly parents.

Nice, I love it. That's the attitude I need. /images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif

Tim,

Great job by you and your little man! I am sure this will be a day he remembers for a long time. I am sorry to hear that other parents(probably the ones that just sat on their a$$'s during building time) tried to ruin yours and your sons day. Sad part of hobbies but some find it easier to try and accuse others of cheating rather than putting in the time to make their cars better. Now that we know you and your son can build great cars, when will we see you running some NPWDRL with us? I am sure you will be a contender very quick. Well again, great job to you and your son and best of luck in the next level of races.

Ian

Thanks everyone, I plan to send my car in asap. I had to run graphite so I really need to get new wheels and the whole oil kit (dvd & oil) plus I have a large RC event the 25th of this month so if not this month then next month for sure.

Thanks again everyone.

Oh and winning pack is nice but as you know no where near the level you guys race at. I would be ecstatic if I ran under 3 seconds~!

Send it in immediatly with the graphite wheels. That will give you a good idea of where it will be the next month with oil. Oil will probably be about 1 or 2/100th of a seconds better. 1/100 = about 1.5 inches.

Oh~! That is not a bad idea.

So instead of being 3 feet behind on oil it will only be about 2 foot 10 inches!
