guys I will have it done by the end of the week. I'm currently fighting a Staph infection and I feel like doo doo. I've had the shingles but this tops it when it comes to pain. Just got back from the doctor and I'm juiced up on antibiotics.

Just woke up from a power nap. Feeling a bit better so I decided to jump in and take a look.

This is what I got from from the August kick off

Todds meyers avg. At nationals 2.9781. I've run faster than that and I don't have a sub (below) 2.97 badge. I want one if is that easy.
lol
I can't have todd show us local boys up.
lol
correct me if I'm wrong.

Just re-checked....sorry I made a mistake...E3 has been updated to the proper badge.

Did we all forget about the whole thing about the deviation between the times run on the track used for the Nationals and the typical times run on John's track?

There were multiple posts on this topic. There were others that benefited from the deviation in times other than me.

I am fine with whatever badge I have been deemed to have earned so I do not want to come across as complaining.
If it is a 2.98 badge then great, I have the next immediate goal to shoot for the next MOTM Qualifier.
ok

Yep, RAINBOW RULE! It's what got me the sub3 badge, although that same car averaged 2.9982 at the MOTM qualifier so I feel legit now!

Whew! I'm back!
cool

Rocket Car, don't be messin with my badge! 41st in Street Stock Pro at the 1st MOTM Qualifier isnt exactly what I had in mind. lol
beatup

Taking a fresh look at the devaition, I'd say that it should be about .005 for street stock. There are many cars that ran at the Nationals that also ran in August. I see many examples of cars running about .002 to .006 faster in Utah than they did in Wisconsin.
Looking at Unlimited, it tightens up even more to about a .002 difference. I have heard there were a few people complaining the times were so slow at the Nationals. I accept your appology.

Oh come on! It was funny!

I agree Zeeb. I almost think the time badges should reset for the man of the mountain. I think the time are about .002 off the nationals times. That's the way it's going to stay for awhile.

Here is a liitle food for thought guys.

Take a look at the results of the Street Stock Pro class Finals from the race at John's in April.
Eight places were taken to the finals. 1st place ran 2.9494. 8th place ran 2.9628.

Now take a look at the results of the Street Stock Pro class Finals from the August MOTM Qualifier.
1st place ran 2.9600.

1st place in August would have only been good for 4th place in April.

Do you still think it is a good idea to reset the badges to align with the August race?

That is exactly what I'm saying, why it should be reset. The track now from the april race is .008-.010 slower. The class of cars that you need to look at is the Unlimiteds, they are the most consistant. If you look at Zeebs time at Nationals, to this race you will see that the times are near identical. So if we were taking .010 off for speed badges for nationals then we should do the same for this month. Or reset since it is a new Tourney.

I know some work was done on the start gate for smoother operation. That is where I would think the time difference is coming from. It is amazing how changing one little thing will effect times. If you like to test this, just add another spring to your gate and see the time differences, or loosen the one thats on there. As far as I know the track is not going to be moved and or adjusted unless absolutly need for the duration of the MOTM Tourney, that is way Track records are back in effect.
