Axle drill size??

Anybody know what size drill bit I should use for the Revell axles? I have several scout cars I need to drill Strict rules so I am going to use the Revell axles instead the dreaded nails in the kit.

#44 drill bit for BSA size axles which I think are .089

Use #44 for Revell

I had to go even bigger for AWANA axles...like 3/32" with BSA pine blocks.

If you only have #43- no problem- I did many China axles ( over 20 cars) and then showed Cubs the drop of water and poke a toothpick to move it down the hole and they all came out nice and snug. Raced and no problems.
