Looks like NPWDRL got my registration. Let’s hope he got my car. APR race I plan to tune and actually set my track up to try and improve from this baseline. Never used oil before, so there’s that part I need to play with too. I used basic krytox from hobby lobby. My car is Sloroller 1, figured the name would be fitting. Hahaa

Time to get back to drawing board. Fun race really enjoyed seeing everyone’s masterpieces race this evening.

I know everyone has their secrets, but which oils are working best these days. I used regular oil without any secret formula. Also, wheel bore prep. Which ones seem to work the best. I don’t want to spend a lot of money I do t really have on those that won’t be as competitive. I know everyone will have their own but at least give me a starting point to try one of them.

thanks in advance

Start asking questions but refrain from opened ended ones such as "how do I get faster." Most, if not all racers will help.
I would also add to be wary of who you accept advice from. Look at their achievements.....such as if their a league racer. If they are, are they good at it? I think over here you are pretty safe from bad advice, but I see alot of crap advice going out on the Facebook group.

Dig through the forums and read. Those topics have quite a bit of discussion about them and some good direction to go in.

To add to this, take out a pen and paper, go to the very first page of threads (#114 when I just looked) in General Discussion and start reading. Look for threads that have interesting titles, or lots of responses. Write down anything that seems like good info. Then, after you're done, go to Building Tips, Ask the Pros etc. and do the same thing. This might take a while, however, it will get you much further down the road rather than trying to figure things out on your own.

Also, reading through all of that material will give you a sense of the personalities at work here on the forum, and who might be a good source of info for you. Further, you'll find it entertaining seeing guys who are top tier now asking newb questions a few years ago and expressing frustration about how bad they're getting beat. ;)

To add to this, take what your wanting to search for, like let's say.. "The Silver Bullet" add it in the search and hit enter.. bam you will find every quote on here with the name Silver Bullet on it. Good luck!
