Gulfport Ms.
Okay AWANA builders, you've just been injected with Billy's new and improved non Krytox Truth Serium. His turn 1st. After 23 years out of the building business Billy's now building for his granddaughter. Using his old yet slightly improved techniques and on a 42' computer timeed Best Track he's management a 3.23 with all AWANA kit parts on graphite. Not a rocket ship by any stretch. Would be curious to know how he stacks up against some of you really fast guys and gals. No Fudging or the Boggie Man might getcha !! All AWANA kit parts, graphite, 42' Track. Remembering the AWANW Pledge.....Ready, set,go !!

Very few of us Awana folks have 42' tracks. I've never raced on one. Most kids cars wouldn't finish. We all have 30's. I'd love to put one of mine on a long track though.

Best oil run on 42ft best track with oil was 2.9990 (avg around 3.02) track was rough with a big hop on at least one lane (about .1 slower for the 130 runs from the group) (just knock the nubs off the wheels with a light sand all between 2.0 and 2.1g. Didn't measure runout but they were the better of about 50 wheels. Same car just ran 2.968ish in BASX with DD4H wheels and 93tx. The drill isn't as good as I had hoped but probably the best I've been able to get so far. The wheels seem to migrate at different rates and there is the slightest crack of light when checking with 123 blocks.

Best graphite this year was with my youngest son's Capt America car this year. Not built for speed but just ran dang well. 3.199ish average. Same bumpy track.

My wife's car last year ran well with graphite before we really jumped into the PWD thing. I'll have to find the post with her times but we built all of them for speed that year and all on graphite I think had averages under 3.2 but the track was setup much better last year without the bumps. http://www.pinewoodderbyonline.com/threads/ajbinva-introduction-thread.6077/
