Shhhhh!! But, coat the axle, shake the excess off like DD4H said, then carefully put the end of the axle into a cordless drilll. Tighten gently. Using the right rubberband or a piece of tape on the trigger, spin the axle slowly (fairy slowly) and lay the drill down so the axle is horizontal to the ground. Do this overnight and let the battery drain down. This ensures a perfectly round coat around the axle shaft. By morning, you're golden!! Learned this technique from fishing rod repair and rod building rotors when applying glue and clear coat.
