Bore wax

I understand that after burnishing, apply a wax, and polish the bore with a soft pipe cleaner before using Krytox oil. Can you use a Carnuba wax such as Johsons paste wax? Is it plastic safe and won't slow down after a couple of months. Has anyone tested car speed after couple of months?

Carnuba seems to be frowned upon, can't tell you why, but that seems to be the consensus. Listen here:
