Had a thought today, has anyone tested the hardness of the different plastics used in Scout PWD wheels.

They make black wheels that go in the scout kit, then there are the Revell wheels in 5 colors, black, red, yellow, blue, and orange.

I heard that the plastic of the kit wheels are softer, but wondered if the additives of the colored wheels changed the properties at all.

Perhaps the difference is very minor, but I figured it was something to look into.

There are huge differences in the hardness of the plastics. The old style wheels are very soft, and seem to get progressively harder with time. I don't know if there is any speed differences in hardness, just know they turn differently on the lathe.
