I am not the Official Review Guy or anything, but after getting a couple of Bulldog's Prep Block's I thought I would share some thoughts I had after using his product.
PROS:
- The Bulldog Prep Block is made of good quality wood. Comes with rounded edges and is well sanded.
- No assembly needed.
- The Prep Block is compact and sturdy.
- The Prep Block holds wheels really well and they are easy to get out of the block.
- Has 3 mounting holes in the block for wheels, another to hold your bottle of oil and three smaller holes for axles.
- It fit in to a PWD car sized plastic zip lock bag to keep dust and dirt off of your prepped wheels and axles.
CONS:
- None
Wish List
- The Prep Block came with no rubber feet. I have a laminated board I work on that is very smooth and slick. I bumped the Prep Block and it slid accross my work board and it almost hit the floor. I just added a couple of self sticking rubber feet to the bottom to prevent the prep holder from sliding around during use.
- I transfered my oil into a bottle that has a needle tip. My bottle was a little bit bigger in diameter than the provided hole. If you let Bulldog know what diameter bottle you have your oil in, he can probably get you set up with a prep block with a different size hole.
The Bulldog Prep Block gets a big "Thumbs Up" from me. Its one of those cool items you should have while prepping your wheels and axles. The cost is just $3.00 + shipping. No assembly needed. Bulldog suggested applying a coat of lacquer or paint to seal the block from oil, dust and dirt. He also put 1 1/4 washers in his blocks wheel holes which according to Bulldog, "Tricks Them Out".
See you on the track!
