Can a car be too low and cause problems at the stop section?
We drilled canted rears with 2.5-3 degrees and the center of the axle hole is at 1/8". This puts the rear of the car still above the 3/8" limit. The front rides high as the top of the DFW hole is at 1/8" then with the axle bent she sits obviously higher in front. Does this layout cause me trouble at the stop or should I raise that DFW hole a hair?

As far as the BestTrack stop section, it is impossible to be too low. The cars drop onto the stop section, so there is no worry about your car getting hung on the beginning of the rubber or getting launched in the air.

The only concern with being too low is that the center rails are 1/4" high, and your car needs to clear them in the transition — thus the recommendation of the car body having 3/8" clearance.

Guys! Guys! How about this weight placement? Too low?
lol

Haha, thanks. Just kind of popped into my head the other day. Too much watching those "Luigi Death Stare" videos on Youtube, maybe. /images/boards/smilies/wink.gif

Here's what I've got so far. Drilled canted rears. Much steeper angle than we ran last year. Last year we bent the rears only enough to get the wheels to run to heads., The wheel actually still ran flat on the track. Below this are pics of side view. Anything wrong jumping out at you guys.

If you are still experimenting, I'd suggest drilling your fronts a little higher. You can see the angle of the car, which will give an ever-so-slight toe-out configuration on the rear wheels. If you place a ruler next to either end of the car, you'll see what the height difference is, and drill your holes higher up by that amount.

If this is your car, call it good. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

I didn't think about the toe-out occurring with the front raised. This is our car right now. Can I fill the hole with epoxy and a toothpick then redrill?

Epoxy and toothpick has worked well for me.
