I have an aerosol cleaner that is supposed to clean and also leaves a small silicone layer behind.

I haven't tried it yet...OOPS, let that one slip! lol

There are a few out there, but the one I picked up is by MG Electronics.

Kinser, if you have tried some of these, or anyone, I would be interested in your results.

I may try it on an experimental car with the new weights and new body design if I get time to work on it...If going experimental, may as well go all the way. I wont have any idea what worked or didn't work, but it will probably be fun! lol Hmmm...what class to put it in??

Ya, B_Reg, it crossed my mind to delete that immediately after I posted it. Ha! I've learned a lot on here so, oh well! Maybe I can contribute something!

This was something I was holding to work more later after I felt really consistent on my preps. I still have some cars that are smokin' fast for me, and some that are dogs, don't know till I send em in. lol

It may be something, may be nothing! I just hope folks will share with me if they try it or have tried it, or if they use it...I don't have a test track! lol /images/boards/smilies/tongue.gif

So with the new polish - is everyone skipping the pledge step or still doing it after the windex? Just curious as to what's working out there!

Pledge is for graphite racing. You use the new polish as the last polishing step with your axle in the drill. After polishing you clean and add the pledge before adding graphite. If you are oil racing then there are other coatings that guys use. For most it is Jig-a-loo but some have a secret sauce they are keeping close to the vest.

After watching "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" with the family for the 3th or 4th time recently, I am thinking more about using Windex

One of the main uses of Denatured alcohol is a glass cleaner. So I wouldn think it leaves a film.
Especially if you use a strip of selvyt cloth on axles before applying "Pledge" or Jig.
