I really appreciate the info on this forum. I've searched for info regarding this and came up empty. This is my son's last race at the district and really could use your expert advice. He has a ladder car with a 4.75" wheelbase. 3 wheel straight runner. He has 12 cubes in front of axle and 12 behind and putty behind. 1/2" cog. His car got a little squirrelly on the hill and then did good on the flat portion. My question is if I were to move the putty forward of the axle would it run better on the hill and be faster? Thanks for your help!

The alignment of the rear axles is off. Nothing against you @Need4speed but I noticed that a lot of people on this forum make new threads for info that has already been repeatedly answered. Now some people enjoy answering the same question over and over but I prefer that a new racer dig deep into the forum to get the info that already exists.

Thanks, I just don't understand why it does this on the hill and not on the flat portion.

As with real cars, allignment matters more during acceleration. Think of a 2WD car that needs electronic stability control off the block in rain but performs well at speed.

Thanks. We have no track to test on. This is the first time we tried bending axles. The rear axles are slightly bent. The wheels still run flat. I can try pulling them out and straightening them. And give that a try. Thanks for your help.
