Cutting a thin body

Exactly. And its actually difficult to ensure all 4 wheels touch - probably beyond the skill of the typical scout. That's why the 4 wheels touching rule is the dumbest rule in all of PWD.
Man, tell me about it! I helped a Tiger scout in another Pack this year whose rules said all four had to touch but the axles could not be bent! How's a kid going to do that?! Had me scratching my head figuring out the drill heights and angles to make it work.

For our Pack, It is only for the Dad's that know how to build a 3 wheel car. They only concentrate on the fast cars. At last nights committee meeting I brought this up and he said, "If it is done by accident and you can tell they didn't know what they were doing, then it is fine." "It is more for the people that know how to build these cars," he continued to say.
Blah Blah Blah. Just have a build day with a set number of tools out and say this is what you have to work with. He is fighting a losing battle by saying some rules are good for some and not others. If they want to be fast then do the research and build a fast car. IMO. It obviously is all out there on the web. We must have put a bad taste in his mouth when we swept all three classes for the pack and won the district race last year.

One of the districts here is threatening to have a separate race for boys who have been through Mojo training ! I was like, "REALLY???? Does that count for when I give presentations and help on build days for whole packs?"

That really threw them...

And who is it who throws the biggest fit? The dad who built his son's car only to come in a distant second. :D

Wait, so the 4 wheel touch rule is only for those who lift a wheel on purpose? If its accidental then its ok?

I have no words ...

Yep! I had no further words as well. At least any that would have been productive. I had a feeling he had us in mind when I first read these rules.

Thats insane and ridiculous. Do you apply the other rules to the just the slow cars or the fast cars? Why race if you already know which cars are the fastest ones - just start handing out trophies

I am just shaking my head...

Find a new pack. LOL
If it wasn't for the kiddo having all his buddies from school in his Den. Trust me we would have been gone a long time ago. This guy is just another big Man Baby! Here is another good one, why have you guys all fired up. He told all the cubs and parents if the car shows up with a nice sparkly paint job then it probably was a Dad who built the car. Whhhhat? Huh? My kid was taught how to air brush last year and turns out some decent paint jobs for his age. Who takes a leader position and then tells the kids that they are not capable of doing something great. Right Turn Clyde!
