I just got a telephone call from North Caroline, my cars arrived on Monday, and the package was badly squashed. Worst of all, the wheels of my Unlimited car were broken. Not really sure about the body, or if the axle holes were damaged. There were also six other cars, including two Street Rods, plus the Eliminator car that once took second place.

Best part, for whatever reason, I insured the package for $1000.

Kinser, I am really sorry, I was really looking forward to this match up. Maybe something will happen in the future where we can do something similar.

Because I am going out of town for a month, the damaged package is being returned to DD4H, who can give US a more precise discription.

The car is being returned from D4CASH to DD4H untouched. Just for interest and BRAGGING RIGHTS, take yours down there "untouched" and have John run them together.

I won't be able to be there for the race, but I will be for the MEAL. Let's take John with us, loser still foots the bill. Also, John will have to stage my car, but per my instructions.

If you prep your car, I want John to check my veer -- nothing more. I just don't trust UPS any more.

Well, I had last place wrapped up in the street pros. In spite of that, I had a lot of fun anticipating what would happen. I at least have a baseline to use for future runs. Looking at the video seems like the car went straight down the track. Not a lot of wiggle I mean.
Car got there and home in one piece anyway. Sorry to hear about your cars, Opa.

The whole thing has been a learning experience from many angles.

Can't wait for the next one!
