Well today was the district race, my pack which for the most part consisted of myself and four other people saved ths race from not happening. Had to get a new location, I called up a guy to come bring his best track and run it for us while we did all the registrations, awards, concessions and stuff. We had about 30-35 boys, not what it has been in the past but still a good turn out. My boys cars had nothing but re graphite and a tad bit of steer adjustment made to the cars. Both cars ran very well with Nolans car (red) besting Craig's car (orange) by about .02-.03 each run. The top racers were within about .04 between all the dens with those car being from just a few families (we share tips). In the end my wolf (Nolan) who is autistic one the den and the overall and my other son came in second i den and third overall. We had one race in the cahmpionship race with a .0005 MOV (margin of victory)and the difference between second and third in the webelos den was .0003. In the outlaw race my oldest daughter who was not there won overall with a 3.1728 average over a runner up of a 3.1765 average. We ran the cars head to head again just for fun and she pulled out a 3.1578 to his 3.1777. I am not sure what we had in that car but it is a bit of a mystrey and all the parts are out of the box stuff and the wheels did not get a real re prep from last year, just burneshed some graphite and cleaned and final polished the axles and added pledge, same as all the other cars from our family. I am including pictures and a couple videos. I am interested to see how much I can pick these cars up with just attention to detail. I have to wonder how much the fenders are hurting and not helping.
