I have been building a lot of fenders lately, I'm really enjoying it. My 10 year old built his first set today. We use balsa wood, we trace half a wheel, and make a triangle out of them. We cut the shape with a hand razor saw, then we take a dremel with an old wheel and glue sand paper to it. We slowly dremel out the shape of a wheel. We seal with CA, and sand lightly and paint. It takes us about 15 min. to make a set, but they are not as nice as gee. I like to teach him the building skills, and also about areo. We made a Dremel car.

That's a great but simple way to make a set of those. I think I'll get my son to make a set too !

Looks great! A simple approach to building a set of fenders. Balsa is easy to work with too, but a little unforgiving if approached aggressively.

That's a good looking car!
