I'm a novice builder and could easily build that car. What I can not do (yet anyway), is build a fast car. I would be very leary of buying somrthing like that off of ebay. You can buy a car from DD4H for half the price and it has a far better shot at being fast.

I was looking for tungsten, when the style caught my attention. Remimded me of the cars that race here. Scrolling the photos and there was the NPWDRL.
What I found weird is why not just list it here?

because I dont know too many people here that would spend $300 on a car when almost everyone here can build that same car.

I just priced a car on DD4H with all the bells and whistle it came to $210.00 ... Painted with fenders front and rear.... Add $15.00 for a custom built box and pay shipping and it is race ready....

I completely fail to see the reason to purchase a pinewood derby car. If it's for a Cub Scout race, shame on you. If it's for a league-racing car, well, why bother league racing if you don't want to enjoy building cars?

That said, if people really want to pay money for pre-made cars, those with the skills and resources to provide them would be remiss not to take those individuals' money...

BOOM!

I was beginning to think I was the only one that felt this way

If I were to buy a fast car built by someone else, it would be just to get that car off the track so there was one less car beating me, lol.

S#!t, I couldn't afford to buy all the cars that beat mine! lol!

I did buy a pro built bearing car, mostly just to see how they're made.

For $300 you could buy 10 huge trophies, get them engraved with your name etc. I think it would be crazy to spend that money on a $15 trophy and faux bragging rights. I would rather build my own slow cars and enough the quiet of my garage!
