How do you like that blue jig? I'm curious to know how the alignment comes out. I have the old version that drills only straight holes and was considering the new canted version...but there are other jigs that are more expensive but also have more precision.

Wow great job on your build. Your machining skills are sick! Just out of curiosity though why on earth are you using pewter? It’s density as almost half of lead and almost twice that of tungsten. To spend all that time and effort in building your car your selling yourself short, no offense just saying.

The jig definitely you get what you pay for there is wiggle room more than I hoped for. So I’ll see come race day.

Doing Cub Scout races, the pewter is safer for the kids and cheaper than tungsten. My budget next year include tungsten. This is year 3 and each year getting deeper down the rabbit hole.

Maybe consider making your weight with lead and then wrapping it with some sort of tape or vinyl so it’s safe for the kids to handle and install in the car. In the past I’ve made 3/8 lead slugs and wrapped them up to fit in 25/64 holes for kids in hour pack that showed up under weight

Did good this weekend, this year the CNC made it easier to get everyone in the race this season.
My Bear took 1st in Bears and 1st in overall. 3rd year repeat.
My Lion took 1st in Lions and 3rd overall
My Wife took 2nd in Adult class.
I took 1st in Adult class.
I forced them to put in most of the work my lion was getting a little tired of sanding but it was good for him.

Very kool cars, very kool trophies congrats. I like the pinewood princess, saw alot of stuff in the pictures but didnt see the targets. With a sweep like that i thought you were also awarded targets to wear for next race! Lol
