New Items GEE Fenders

Let us know your process for installing the GEE fenders (type of glue or tape) and how you can remove them for other cars. I have a set and need to install them. Thanks 5K

I have had good luck with plain old supper glue and removal with a razor blade. They come off easier then one would think.

I did the same thing. One side came off with a small piece of the body still attached but I was planning on recycling the car anyway so it didn't matter. I just gave the fender a light sanding to get the wood off and they were ready to be reused.

I super glue mine on. Then I found I could take them off real easy by dropping another car on a fender , and it popped off very easy without breaking. So that's how I will remove the fenders in the future, "NOT"

Like K C Racing says they come off very easy

To attach:

1. Monokote Trim on where I want to attach fender.

2. Lightly sand Monokote with 400 grit paper.

3. Attach fender with a mixture of CA and Elmer's glue.

To remove:

1. Peel Monokote from car.
2. Douse fender with CA-remover.
3. Remove Monokote/CA from fender.

+1 This is how I attach the fender to the car. Removing them is a breeze too.

I use foil tape on the inside of the fender that attaches to the car, apply some epoxy to the foil tape and attach to the the body. It is a strong hold and when you want to remove just peel the tape of the fender and sand the epoxy off car.

Anyone have a real preference for type or name brand of epoxy? Just got a set of DD4H fenders in the mail today and was curious how they would take paint/ should I even worry about paint/ best way to attach, etc. I had just planned on CA'ing them but love the idea of being able to remove them without damaging the car.
