Well spent a lot of the day prepping, re-prepping, cutting, sanding, polishing, painting, and praying!!! The super prep process for the nationals begins! 20 days out and I can't wait!! I hope you all are as excited as me. I can't wait to see old friend and met some new one's. Huge thanks to those that have stepped up and sponsored! Derby Dad 4 Hire, Goat Boy, Best Track, and oh yes Max V!!! Thanks a ton for jumping on board!!

Def. excited here! First time entering. Just got back from the craft store, picked up foam to build the shipping box. Car is ready to go & labeled for staging. Only needs the Legend box routed to fit.

It's not coming soon enough, talk about being addicted to this pinewood derby stuff, I need a fix soon. I think if I had a test track I would be good, but I'm antsy waiting for the Nationals. I WILL BE LIVE!!! Can't wait to see the faces behind some of the avatars and forum names. BTW John, if you need any help, I'm available to do what I can. I will be getting there Friday early afternoon best I can tell right now.

I'm prepping what I can until my DD4H order arrives, Monday I hope! New Cheetah V3, Intimid8rs, axles, spacers, etc... I'm hoping to have at least 6 cars entered 4 SS Pro and 2 Street Pro. Trying a new axle/wheel bore prep with some new product. New body style (hopefully it works). Revamping an old car with some tricks to gauge what works, a bench-marking car. Trying to get some speed out of an old build, consistent 2.98xx car all day long, shooting for a 2.95xx with this one. Hoping the new Cheetahs help me crack the yet elusive 2.9399 barrier in the SS Pro class. The new Cheetah V3's have been bringing some speed. Track will help determine whether or not this is obtainable.

I hope I get there early enough Friday to do some testing on the track. I will be bringing my A+ game and I plan on taking down some big dogs, I'm off the porch and ready to run!!! Hopefully I'm not talking through my hat. I do have a plan, some lofty goals and a road to get there. LOOK OUT!!!

i would sure like to race and im going to try but no definet promises yet although i am working on a car it was a toss up between unlimited and ss and i picked ss due to the fact i want one of those cool new badges. couldn't afford to grab up any of those new v3's so i made an attempt to cut my own oh well they look good and im starting some of my prep on them now. We will just have to see how they turn out. i'll probably send a set of rage extremes in the box as well in case dd4h finds something i did wrong that would dq me and if he had time or some one else had time they could switch them out for me at least i would get to race that way. anyhow here is some pics.

all 4 wheels are 2.0 on the ricther scale and i didnt see a min dia in the rules so i should be ok on them as far as i know

As long as all lettering is there and it's 2.0 grams or more your good. I love how quite the new wheel are. I'm sure they'll run great.

With the bumps removed you can barely hear the car go down the track not to mention the speed gains. Freaky it will be good to see you back on the track.
