Goat Boy Bending Tool?

Well... I checked mine last night and did not experience any of the concerns noted. Mine does NOT use any sort of washer. Like the rest, I just apply light pressure onto the clamping bar prior to clamping down with the screw.

I'm glad you found a solution to your problem TBR.

I checked mine this morning, I use it the same as BRegal and GX, light pressure on the pin side so I can orient the tuning slot. No problem. I tried tightening the clamp down without touching the pin, also no problem.

Mine has no washer either.

Glad you found your problem TBR!

Thanks to all that responded!

Just so you know, I tried what several of you used as your method ...applying pressure down on the pin side while tightening the screw.

Before I polished the ridges out, when I did this, it would still bind unless the pressure was 100% straight down. ANY deviation and it would bind up. In fact several times I thought I had it figured out and correct, I still ended up with the clamp cocking and the axle ending up loose. The good news is that I always checked the axle before attempting to bend, so I did not ruin any axles.

Thanks again to ALL who responded as every idea helps!!!!
