There's a drill press in that picture?

I see your point!! I'm distracted by ASAP!!
lol

It ain't over until it's over.

1 am dropped my square and it busted my glass sanding base, I think I have another someplace, so no big deal.

Pretended I was a CNC machine and routed out weight pockets over in the trash room (the only place there's an electrical outlet).

Think I did a pretty ok job, though I seem to have burned out my old Demel tool. New one seemed to handle it better, though I couldn't seem to remember which direction cut best from minute to minute.

More Post to Follow.

Did a bunch of shaping and sanding on car #2, looking good so far. Didn't think I'd get this far on car #2, it just might make the races.

Waiting on a new wheel set so mocking things up to see what I like, testing to see what weighs what and so on.

NEXT UP, WHEELS, WEIGHT AND PAINT !

I still haven't decided which car will get what wheel and axels, but I'm hoping the wheels get here soon enough to figure it out.

Meanwhile I shot a video of a Straight Line Roll test to see if my number 2 car "INVADER" has a shot at being a decent car. Surely not Pro level, but at least get down the track in a respectable manner.
So here's video of the test and the a World's Lamest Test Board, enjoy.

Question...are you aligning this car to be a straight-runner or a rail-rider?

As a Rail Runner, but I want to test to see if the axel holes are straight or not as I only have a cheap drilling block.

You'll never know if its"pro level" until you race with us. You may just be surprised. Good luck at MA; you might be more of a "pro" than you think.

Thanks for the encouragement and kind words /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

Today's beauty shot.
Nearly finished with "INVADER" assuming I don't swap the wheels and axels.
Now I just need to get "Coffin Nail" done and setup, tested, etc.

Not trying to bust any bubbles here, but do you think the tape edge is causing the car to "toe the line"?

I thought of that after the video, so I tested again next to the tape line with pretty much the same result.

Killer paint job! It looks fast.

Thanks, not too bad for a quickie paint job. I'd like to think it will run ok at the Nationals, but I'm just hoping to get under 4.
